Compliance rules in Assess Premium
We’ve introduced a new Compliance tab in Assess Premium. Here, you can apply rules to help align with state and local laws that restrict how records can be considered during adjudication. These laws are distinct from CRA reporting requirements that Checkr manages. Here’s what’s included:
13 pre-built rules based on jurisdiction-specific requirements
Built-in guidance on when and where each rule applies, including any job-based exemptions
Flexible rule settings: apply in jurisdictions with associated laws, across all locations, or skip
To support this, we’ve also published an adjudication compliance guide that summarizes applicable laws.
Note: Three existing rules are moving from the “Fairness and Compliance tab” (now renamed “Quickstart Rules”) into the new Compliance section. If any of these are already enabled in your rulesets, they’ll remain enabled.
Less than misdemeanor charges
Non-felony marijuana possession
Non-convictions (now renamed "Dispositions that didn’t result in a conviction and aren’t pending”)
