Enhancements for candidates with SSN issues
As a candidate completes their background check application, Checkr determines whether we'll need to collect additional information related to their SSN.
When Checkr can’t move forward with a background check because of an issue with the candidate's SSN, we’ll ask the candidate to confirm their SSN or provide additional documentation before they complete their application. This can help prevent delays and ensure background checks completely smoothly.
If the candidate doesn't provide the requested information within the background check application, we'll send them an email with a link to resolve the issue.
This update will be rolled out to 100% of candidates in the US over the next few weeks, and only impacts customers who are using Checkr's hosted background check application. This update does not apply to customers using Checkr's API.
