Identity verification (IDV) Re-verifications

We're excited to announce that IDV re-verifications are now live for US customers!
Since launching our domestic IDV product in December 2025, one of our top customer requests has been the ability to reverify candidates outside of the background check step with a simplified flow - and today we're delivering on that.

What is it?

• Selfie-Only Re-verification: After a candidate passes their initial full IDV (photo ID + biometric selfie), subsequent re-verifications only require a new selfie matched against the original ID on file. This makes the process faster and less intrusive for candidates and reduces TAT for customers.

• Seamless Reordering: Re-verification is not a separate product. We will detect automatically when a "full" IDV is required vs. a selfie-only re-verification - so no extra effort is required on the part of the customer.

• Linked Verification History: Re-verification results can be tied to the same candidate object when ordering via "Add Checks" button or API, giving customers a clear view of a candidate's IDV history over time.

• Device Fingerprinting: Selfie-only re-verifications still capture device fingerprinting signals so customers can detect risky device behavior and candidate location.
