New suspension rule option in Assess MVR: "resolved before taking effect
We’ve introduced a new condition to Assess MVR rules that allows you to automatically mark certain license suspensions as eligible—specifically those that were resolved before taking effect. This update gives you more precision in how suspensions are considered during adjudication.
Why It Matters
In some cases, a candidate’s license may be scheduled for suspension, but they resolve the issue before the suspension actually goes into effect. These scenarios are still reported with a suspension start and end date, but the end date appears before the start date, indicating the suspension never happened in practice.
Until now, Assess MVR didn’t support rules to distinguish these cases, which meant customers had to manually review and interpret them—slowing down adjudication workflows.
What’s New
You can now apply a new condition within Assess MVR suspension rules:
Resolved Before Taking Effect
Allows you to automatically mark these types of suspensions as eligible, eliminating manual review for cases that technically never took effect.
This addition strengthens the value of suspension-related rules in Assess MVR and enables more automated, scalable adjudication—with precision.
